AF-S 50mm sharpness test good ، AF-S 50mm sharpness test good
So since my D series 50mm bit the dust (I think) last weekend, I decided to get a AF-S 50 1.4 and test it out to see if this is the one I want. Got here today, and I took these tonight under the bright light of my desk to ensure there's enough light source. All shot at ISO 1000 from f/1.4 to f/8 @ 100% crop, SOOC.
I can honestly say that I'm not really impressed with this lens any more than I was impressed by the last one. My main beef w/ the old lens was that it went soft when the aperture got wider than f/2, and it looks like this one isn't too much better. :hs: Doubt I'll buy this, unless the Sigma is that much better. I'll be renting the Sigma next to test it out for a shoot, then buy the right lens for next years wedding season.
